Are you praying for a loved one or friend and it seems that the more you pray, the worse they get. I am a firm believer that praying and speaking the Word of God over our unsaved loved ones, and those who have strayed away from God, will avail much. God promises that He will watch over His Word to ensure that it happens. It is God's will for ALL to be saved (2 Peter 3:19). He will do whatever He can, which for God is much, to get them to receive the gift of salvation. Here are some Scriptures that you can stand on to build your faith. Meditate on the scriptures and get them in your spirit so they will naturally come up when you need them.

Prayer for Salvation of Loved Ones

Don't stop praying for your unsaved loved ones. Trust and believe God to save them. It may not happen right away. I prayed for years for my dad and mom to be saved, and God saved them both before they left this earth. Praying that God’s Word will be fulfilled in your loved one's lives is the best thing you can do for them. I talk about this in the book “Put The Word In Your Mouth.”

Here is a sample prayer that you can pray. Where there is a blank line (_____), fill in the names of the people you are praying to personalize your prayers.

Father, I ask You would destroy any false ideas that _________ has about Jesus Christ and salvation through Him. Open their eyes to the truth that he/she is lost, separated from You and in need of salvation. (Romans 3:23).
