Prayer for Your City
Heavenly Father, forgive us for not making Your Kingdom a priority in our lives. I pray that the Holy Spirit will weed the sin out of our life that keeps us from living a life on mission. You said that we should seek the welfare of the city where You have placed us and pray on its behalf. Father, we declare that because we are seeking the peace and welfare of our city, and praying to You for it, we are enjoying peace and welfare.
We ask that the Lord of the harvest send out laborers into this city to gather in Your harvest. Make us laborers. Increase our burden for this city that our love would produce a desire to see others saved, and grow in their love and understanding of who God is, what He has done and what He is doing. Grant us wisdom and strategy to minister, to be relevant to the community you have placed us in. Open opportunities for us to be present and intentional with the Gospel in our neighborhood. Lord, grant the hearers a receptive heart. As your Ambassadors, may we represent The Kingdom well. I decree that wheresoever the souls of our feet shall tread shall be Kingdom territory!
Father, we decree that The Gospel will be boldly and unashamedly proclaimed in our local churches and that our churches would be places for the broken, unwanted and hurting. I pray that Christ will be offered as the only remedy for the very thing we cannot do, which is to make ourselves better or save ourselves. Father, we declare that Your people in this city are called a Holy people, the redeemed of the Lord. We call this city a city not forsaken. Father, You said in Your word that no city divided against itself will last or continue to stand. Therefore, in the mighty Name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of division over our city and command you to flee. We cancel your assignments and effects against this city in the Name of Jesus. We loose unity, harmony, and peace in Jesus’ Name.
Father, we declare that You are our peace—our bond of unity and harmony. We declare that Your people in this city are eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of the Spirit in the binding power of peace. We are praising and glorifying You with one voice. Father, we declare that this city is being delivered because the believers of this city acknowledge You and follow You voice and direction. We do not look to our own wisdom, but we draw from the wisdom that is from above. Thank you, Father, that You are purging our city of scoffers who would set it afire, inflaming the minds of the people. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done in this city as it is in heaven. Let Your Glory radiate this city. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
