God spoke this whole world into existence by His Word. I am a firm believer that the words we speak are powerful. In my book, Put The Word In Your Mouth: Believe God, Agree with Him, Declare His Word, Change Your Life, I talk about the transformational power of speaking God's Word over our life. Since most of us are not accustomed speaking beyond what we see, here is a declaration you can decree over your life. Remember to decree means to say out loud. When you decree expect things to change immediately, and then continue every-day speak God's favor over your life.
Sometimes when we pray long and hard about a situation without receiving an answer we get tired of waiting and give up too soon. Some people have thought that God did not answer their prayer, but the truth is they gave up before the answer got to them. Waiting is never easy, but the end result, whatever it is, will be worth it.
Some people don’t want to be healed or happy. They love to have pity parties because they love the attention they bring. I had someone call me for prayer one day. I began to pray and while I was praying, this person was talking to people in the background, not even listening to me pray so that they could agree with me or hear what I was praying for. Holy Spirit said stop they don't want to be healed. Then I understood why Jesus asked the lame man at the pool of Bethesda, "Do you want to be made whole?" (John 5: 5-9).
Jesus came to this world to redeem us from sin, death and sickness. He was made to be sin on our behalf, that we might have life. Isaiah 53:4-5 declares, “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
Two are better than one; because it is well worth the effort. For if they fall, the one will lift up their companion: but woe to one that falls alone; for there is no one to help them up. Also, if two sleep together, then they arouse each other: but how can one become aroused all alone? And if one is overwhelmed, two can stand together; a threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)
I see many married people take their marriage and their spouse for granted. They have forgotten what it was like to be alone. Every single person I talk with who is crying out for a life partner will tell you loneliness is the hardest part. You will also hear that it seems all the good men or women are married.
In Ezekiel chapter 37 the Spirit of God took Ezekiel to a valley filled with dry bones, and asked him, “Son of man, can these dry bones live?” In the natural it didn’t look like any life could bloom in that wasteland of bones, but Ezekiel knew enough about God to know to know that anything is possible with God. So he answered, “O Lord, you know”.
I usually get up early in the morning to spend time with the Lord, His Word and my coffee. I really enjoy my mornings, so I generally go to bed early at night, so that I am refreshed when morning comes. It's funny because sometimes the conversation and word study get so good that I don't want to stop and begin my workday. During my quiet time this morning, the persecuted church was laid upon my heart.
Back in the first week of June, 2010 I posted a prayer request: Pray for America and Korea. On that morning when I arose I clearly remembered a dream I had during the night. In the dream I was praying regarding some situations I was facing. At that time I was in desperate need of a financial breakthrough and was about to lose my car and shelter. In the dream I looked off to my far right and there were Angels of God working and doing things on my behalf, working out the situation I was praying about. As I watched them a man came out from among them, he was not an angel of God, but he came out from the midst of them. He had his head down but he looked tired and beaten. As he walked toward me I could see that his man was President Kim Jong-il of North Korea. He walked past me and lifted his and sadly said “it is done”.
God promises that He will watch over His Word to ensure that it happens, which is why I am a firm believer that praying and speaking the Word of God over our unsaved loved ones, and those who have strayed away from God, believing and knowing that God’s Word will be fulfilled in their lives is the best thing we can do for them. I talk about this in the book “Put The Word In Your Mouth”.
