As Christians the greatest battle that we face is the battle with our own mind. What we think on (meditate on) we believe, do, and say. Proverbs 23:7 tells us as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Have you noticed that when you rehearse the issues and problems in your life they seem to increase? You’ve probably heard the saying, when it rains it pours. There may have been times when you’ve experienced such an extended storm in your life. Jesus stood up in the midst of the storm and said, “peace be still” (Mark 4:39). Jesus said we can have what we believe and say (Mark 11:23).
In my book “Put The Word In Your Mouth”, I share how God taught me this principle. It has been changing my life and the life of everyone who reads it. To be victorious in our Christian walk, we must commit to “casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5), Today join me in fasting from stinking thinking. Let us pray: Father God I thank you for Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross. Father, I want to honor You in my thoughts, actions and speech. Help me to discipline my thought life daily. May Your truth to be my final authority. Show me the lies I believe and the strongholds in my life that I need to release and help me to break these destructive strongholds. Help me to become more like Christ within my heart. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN. Declare: "I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind" Comments are closed.
