Most parents and grandparents want what is best for their children. There isn’t anything a good mother or earthly father won’t do for their children. God is a good Father. Scripture says, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! " (Matthew 7:11)
If you listen to the world your future and your children’s futures can seem bleak. God still has plan and it is good! Plans for a blessing, not a curse. Whose report will you believe. Trust the Word. It has the power to turn your children’s lives around!
Isaiah 54:13 − All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.
I might pray, “Father, You have promised those who belong to You that all our children shall be taught by the Lord. I ask You to reveal Yourself to my children, and grandchildren and all descendants and bring each one into peace with you through Christ Jesus.”
I might decree: "All my children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of my children and grandchildren."
Meditating on God’s promises regarding your children will help to increase your faith and stay focused on God’s promises about your children. Here are some scriptures that I use as springboards for prayer for over my descendants:
No matter how they act, don’t stop decreeing God’s word over them. Don’t stop praying for your children until the day you go home to be with the Lord. Even if you don’t see them saved in your lifetime, God can still save them.
Do you have scriptures that you pray over your descendants? Have you seen God honor His word?
