Today’s passages bring a sober reminder of both God’s mercy and the danger of foolishness. In Psalm 9, David cries out for deliverance from enemies and praises the Lord who rescues him from the edge of destruction. Proverbs warns us against the voice of folly: loud, reckless, and empty. Together, they call us to seek God’s mercy and choose wisdom over the noisy distractions of foolishness. Psalm 9:13: Have mercy on me, O Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,
Proverbs 9:13: A foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple, and knows nothing. Psalm 9:13 reminds us that God is our deliverer. Even when we are surrounded by trouble or hatred, He is the one who lifts us up from the very gates of death. His mercy is greater than our enemies and stronger than our fears. Proverbs 9:13 warns us that foolishness is loud and persistent, but it has nothing to offer. If we heed its voice, it leads only to harm. We must train our ears to discern and reject the clamor of folly and cling to the wisdom of God. Lesson for Today When trouble presses in, cry out for God’s mercy. He will lift you up. At the same time, guard your heart and ears from the empty noise of foolishness that tries to distract and destroy. Prayer “Lord, have mercy on me and lift me up from every place of trouble. Deliver me from the plans of the enemy and from the voice of foolishness. Fill me with discernment to hear Your wisdom and walk in Your truth today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” Comments are closed.

On August 25th, 2025, Holy Spirit instructed me to read a scripture each day corresponding to the time on the clock when I wake up and from the book of Psalm and Proverbs. I will keep going and post the passages "TODAY'S WORD" until Father tells me to stop.
This is a great way to get in morning meditation. I hope you will follow along with me... I'm excited about what God is going to do with this. Blog Post Categories
