This morning my eyes opened at 7:16 am. As I thanked Abba Father for waking me this morning, the Spirit directed me to Psalm 7:16 and Proverbs 7:16. These two verses, though very different, speak a sobering truth. Let’s see what it is… SCRIPTURES
Psalm 7:16 KJV: His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. Proverbs 7:16 KJV: I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. Psalm 7:16 teaches that the acts of evil and wrongdoing never go unpunished. They will always have consequences. Those who devise harmful schemes will ultimately see their actions return upon themselves. God’s justice ensures that the violent and the wicked reap what they sow. By establishing this moral order, God guarantees that those who choose wickedness will face the very destruction they intended for others. Proverbs 7:16 shows us how sin often presents itself cloaked in outward beauty and allure. What may appear attractive on the surface as fine coverings, apparent rewards, or promises of comfort can mask the true consequences that lie beneath. Behind this façade, temptation leads only to ruin and destruction. The external appeal is merely a disguise, meant to draw hearts away from righteousness, revealing its true cost only when it is too late. Lesson for Today God’s Word today is both a warning and a call to remain steadfast in righteousness. Stay alert, guard your heart, and keep your eyes fixed on God’s ways. Prayer “Lord, keep me from the snares of sin and the empty allure of false comfort. I repent for any way I have sown discord, spoken against others, or plotted evil in my heart. Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me whole. I forgive those who have gossiped, schemed, or tried to harm me. I release them into Your hands. Help me walk in righteousness and love, and trust that You are just, causing the enemy’s schemes to fall back on his own head. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” Comments are closed.
