Jesus said in Luke 19:10, "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." These words are filled with great victory for our lives. Tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday! As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we also celebrate the fact that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead raises us Believers from spiritual death, free to live a new life of victory over sin.
I believe in the power of prayer and agreeing with what God has spoken and promised in His Word. Here is a scriptural prayer you can pray and declare over your tithes and offerings.
In 1st Samuel 30 the Amalekites had attacked Ziklag, a city in the Negev region, which was southwest of the Kingdom of Judah. They burned it, and took the women and everyone else in it, both young and old captive. When David and his men got to Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives, sons and daughters had been taken captive. Verse 4 says David and his men wept until they had no strength left to weep.
Scripture says the word of God is living. This means that it has a life of its own. The Word of God is the most powerful thing in the universe. Jesus described the Word of God as a seed. Seed grows and bears fruit because it is alive.
As I was reading the passage of Scripture on Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when they were thrown into the fiery furnace their faith amazed me. Surely our All-Knowing, Powerful God could have rescued them before they were thrown into the furnace. However, God chose to show up with them in the furnace. As I read, the Holy Spirit opened the scriptures up to me that really ministered to me.
In this uncertain world, strength and courage are vital to our Christian walk. Here are some verses that have strengthened and encouraged me and Christians. If you are going through a struggle or a trial right now, meditate on these verses for your personal strength and power. Let me remind you that no passage of scripture will help you if you don’t put them into action (James 1:22). Use these Scriptures or others that come to mind and write down a couple of prayer confessions to stand on and pray. Be sure to ask the Holy Spirit to help you.
