This is a great question that many people ask. Maybe you yourself have pondered it. Every Christian in the world wrestles with sin every single day of his or her life.

Dating or mate compatibility goes beyond shared interests, whether both people love music or are of the same faith. When choosing a mate, we must be focused on more than good chemistry. For instance, if friendship and service are most important to you, and the person you are dating values fame, and power, you will encounter many conflicts in the future.
I am so over people asking why are you still single? Why do these insensitive people keep asking me this question. There is so much more to me than being single, and frankly, it's no one’s business. I mean really, these people are being rude, and I don’t think they deserve a polite answer. How should I handle this?
9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. -- Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV) Two are better than one; because it is well worth the effort. For if they fall, the one will lift up their companion: but woe to one that falls alone; for there is no one to help them up. Also, if two sleep together, then they arouse each other: but how can one become aroused all alone? And if one is overwhelmed, two can stand together; a threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)
I see many married people take their marriage and their spouse for granted. They have forgotten what it was like to be alone. Every single person I talk with who is crying out for a life partner will tell you loneliness is the hardest part. You will also hear that it seems all the good men or women are married. ![]()
Galatians 5:19-21 tells us, “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
I'm a single Christian woman who has decided that I am going on with Christ no matter what. |
