Blessing Declaration Over ChildrenGod woke me up at 1 am Saturday morning, January 9th, 2021 with the words Cindy Trimm. I googled her and found her Benediction of Blessing Daily Declaration video. In my book Put The Word In Your Mouth, I talk about the power of speaking God's blessing over your family and others.

The patriarchs of the Old Testament, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob pronounced God’s blessings upon their children by laying hands on them and speaking forth blessings. In each case, God honored what was spoken. In the Old Testament, it was usually done by the father, but today if the father is not around, the mother can also bless her children, for it is written in Proverbs 11:21, “Though they join hand in hand, the wicked shall not go unpunished; but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” I used Cindy Trimm's video as a catalyst to create this Prayer Blessing Declaration Over Children.
I pray for my two sons continually, but as I listened to Cindy Trimm's video, I heard God say to speak His blessings over my sons. I read that it is still customary for Jewish people to lay hands on and bless their children every Friday night. I believe blessing your children this way is a wonderful expression of love and faith, especially when you understand the source behind such a tradition. And of course, God Himself, honors and stands over and watches over His own Word, making sure it is fulfilled. In the Jewish custom, the parent either goes to their children or the children come to them. If you are able to do this, it can be a great time for the family to commune with the Father and to fellowship with one another. If your children are not near, then you can use Zoom or a similar app to pray and fellowship, or you can just pray and bless them in your regular prayer time.
My sons are adults now, and I pray for them continuously, however, if I knew then what I know now, I would have blessed them this way years ago. Whether they are young or old, and however you do it, I encourage you to begin to declare God's blessings over your children weekly and thank God for manifesting His blessings in their life.
