Prayer for Today (1)
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us a brand-new day, with new mercies. Thank You for Your word. We live by Your word. We ask You to forgive us for thoughts we’ve had that we allowed to be carried out into actions, and for words that we said that did not agree with You and Your word. Father, we can't dictate a lot of the things that happen around us, but we can control what happens in us. We know we have a real enemy who wants to destroy us, who wants to trouble our mind, but Father, we thank You for the mind of Christ. And so, we declare we shall not be moved by the things we see or the people that come to distract, to detour and persecute us. Father, we pray for those Satan uses to attempt to distract, to detour and persecute us. We know that You brought them here for a purpose; that You have plans for good and not for evil for them, to give them a future and a hope. Thank You for Your good plan for their life. Jesus came to set the captive free and so, we humbly ask that You bless them and deliver them out of the bondage of Satan. We ask for salvation for them. We ask for healing of their brokenness. Fill their hearts with Your love. Let not Satan keep them in bondage any longer. Send laborers across their path to speak a word of healing and deliverance to their hearts. Thank You for their deliverance and healing.
Father, we are ready for this day, knowing that You care for us and that You have gone before us and prepared the way and made every crooked path straight. You have opened doors that no man, or demon can shut. Trouble may come, but it will not trouble us. Pressure and persecution may come, but we will not be moved. We set our minds on the things of heaven. We look up, not down. We look forward, not backwards. We are steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor in the Lord is not in vain. We are believers and not doubters, standing on Your promises, believing Your word. We walk by faith and not by sight. We will not be dismayed, for You are our God. You will strengthen us and help us. You will uphold us with Your righteous right hand. For You are the LORD, our God, who takes hold of our right hand and says do not fear; I will help you. So, God, we keep standing; we keep on believing, for You are standing with us. We have Your grace to endure. We have Your grace to stand. And when we feel like we can't stand, You lift us up, so we will not fear, for You are with us.
In Jesus' mighty name we declare and pray. Amen.
