Do You Know Jesus
“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.” ─Matt 18:14Want To Become A Child Of God? The Bible says that every person has been created with the knowledge that God exists and that only a fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” (Psalm 14:1)
What many people don’t know is that God created us for Himself, and He has made a way for us to know him personally; not simply as a God who exists, but the only God who loves, saves, keeps, cares for, and offers hope to those who trust Him. You can know God personally and be united with Him through Jesus Christ, if you follow the plan He has given us in the Bible. |

God's plan of Salvation is simple. When the Apostles Paul and Silas were thrown in jail in the city of Philippi for preaching the gospel. At midnight they sang and prayed until God broke down all the doors and broke the stocks which held their feet with a great earthquake. The poor jailer, frightened and convicted of his sins, came to these two preachers and asked this question, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." Acts 16:24-31 (NIV)
HERE ARE THE STEPS:
1) YOU MUST REPENT OF YOUR SINS
Sin is simply disobedience to God and God says sin deserves punishment. We are sinners; our sin separates us from God. No matter how good you or those around you think you are, you are a sinner. Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23, "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS."
So please understand that:
None of this is true. The Bible makes it clear that we all are sinners and whoever keeps the whole law (good deeds) and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all (James 2:10) There is nothing we can do to make ourselves acceptable; we need God to save us.
2) ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART
Have you been born again?
This is the most important question you will ever be asked. Your answer makes the difference between being lost and eternally separated from God, or having fellowship with God and eternal life. The Bible says in the twinkling of an eye Jesus is coming for His Church... Will you go back with us? Are you saved?
Salvation is of the Lord, not man. You cannot stop living in sin to be saved, so you do not have to try. Salvation is a gift, not a reward. We don't give up our sins to get saved; we give up our sins because WE ARE SAVED. Only God can make the change. Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ (Ephesians 2:8,9). No matter how good you and those around you think you are, you are a sinner who has already been forgiven, however, if you do not receive your forgiveness how can you possess it? If you do not receive the gift of salvation before you die you will die in sin and be eternally separated from God. There are only two places the spirit man can live, in Paradise with God or in Hades Hell. There is no changing your final destination after death.
How to be born again
The following is what the Bible says.
Do you recognize that you are a sinner? Do you believe in what Christ has done? As a sign of turning from sin, we begin by asking Jesus to come into our heart. This is also called as The ‘Salvation Prayer’ or the ‘Sinner's prayer’.
The Bible says in 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Repentance is not something you should think. Praying out-loud helps to remove any doubt from your mind about whether you have really prayed or not.
Here is a summary of what you must pray. Feel free to put them in your words and pray with all your heart and mind:
a) You need to confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
b) Ask Jesus to come into your life as Savior and Lord.
c) Thank God for His forgiveness.
You can do this anytime and anywhere. You are then putting your life into God’s control and saying that from that moment you will follow and serve Jesus alone. So you can literally say something out of your mouth like:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. Lord the sinful life that I lived separated me from you. Lord, forgive me of my sins. I know I owe a sin debt that I cannot pay. Lord, I believe that you died on the cross and rose on the third day pay my sin debt. Lord, I'm sorry for my sins. From this day forward I want to put all my trust in you, Lord, show me how to live a Christian life. In Jesus name, Amen
If you have prayed this prayer from the bottom of your heart, you now have Jesus in your heart. Now tell someone what you have done! Spread the good news. I am so glad that you made the decision to trust in Jesus and I would love to hear from you. Please send me and email.
WHAT TO DO NOW...
Being a Christian means more than just saying a prayer. When true faith begins in the heart of a person, it is revealed through action. Now that you believe in Jesus and have confessed Him as Lord and Savior, He calls you to become His disciple and follow Him. This is not a journey to earn His favor; He already loves you as much as He can. Following Jesus is a blessing of living a life of eternal purpose and meaningful worship to our Father in Heaven. Because God has given you His Holy Spirit you can grow in your knowledge of His will through the Bible and serve Him with your life in the world and in the local church.
I strongly encourage you to get connected with a Bible Believing church family near you that preaches and teaches the Bible, faithfully making God’s Word clear and applicable. If you are in the Atlanta area, I would love to meet and fellowship with you at my church. You can also use this church finder to find a church near you.

So please understand that:
- Just believing in God WILL NOT save you.
- Going to church WILL NOT save you.
- Obeying the Ten Commandments WILL NOT save you.
- Joining a religious organization WILL NOT save you.
- Giving money or volunteering to charity WILL NOT save you.
- The Universe WILL NOT save you.
- Changing your behavior WILL NOT save you.
- Water baptism WILL NOT save you.
- And please don’t think because you are young you have time TO GET SAVED.
None of this is true. The Bible makes it clear that we all are sinners and whoever keeps the whole law (good deeds) and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all (James 2:10) There is nothing we can do to make ourselves acceptable; we need God to save us.

The following is what the Bible says.
- Admit that you are a sinner.
The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). - Know that God has already provided for your salvation.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). - Know that you cannot save yourself.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3:5). - Repent of your sins.
“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). - Call upon Jesus Christ to save you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). - Proclaim Jesus before others.
“If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).
