Rise and Walk in Your Inheritance, Part 1

​Many believers are praying for God to give them what He has already made available through Jesus Christ. The problem is not always that the door is closed. Sometimes we have not yet learned how to rise, believe His Word, and walk through it.

Look closely at the picture and think about it for a moment...

Imagine a man whose father leaves him a vast estate. The deed has already been placed in his name. The title has already been transferred. Every room is furnished. Every provision has already been made. Everything he needs is inside that house. But because he never understood the will that was read over him, and because no one helped him understand what legally belonged to him, he never steps inside.

Instead, he sleeps in a tent on the front lawn. He is cold, exposed, and struggling. Every night he prays, “Lord, please give me shelter.” But all the while, the provision is standing right behind him. The doors are unlocked. The rooms are prepared. The table is set. The servants are inside waiting for instructions that never come. Everything he is asking for has already been made available to him, but he does not know what belongs to him.

That is how many believers are living. They love God, but they do not understand their inheritance. They are sons and daughters, but they live as though they have no Father; they still think like slaves. They keep begging God for what He has already provided through Jesus Christ.

You cannot walk in what you do not know belongs to you. This is why the enemy works so hard to keep believers ignorant of their identity, their authority, their covenant rights, and their position in Christ. He knows that the moment the people of God truly understand who they are and what Christ has given them, his access to their lives becomes greatly restricted.

It is time to stop living like an orphan. The inheritance has already been given. Now you must rise, believe what God has said, and walk in what Christ has already made available to you.
